The South Australian Government is seeking TAFE SA’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With a focus on a fresh start for the institution, the CEO will be responsible for driving transformational change and planning a bright future for the organisation. Building education and training leadership capacity and capabilities will be at the forefront of this opportunity, to align TAFE SA with government training priorities.
Reporting to the TAFE SA Board, the CEO will ensure the provision of high-quality training services that meet the needs of industry and maintains high levels of student and employer satisfaction. Aligned to the government’s direction, the CEO will develop business plans, budgets, policies and strategies for presentation and approval by the Board to ensure the organisation excels in its delivery and meets performance targets.
To be successful in this role, the CEO will need to have a successful track record as a VET leader in a customer focused organisation. They will need to display a high level of interpersonal skills with experience in engaging and managing a wide range of stakeholders with political insight and sensitivity. A strong record of leading transformational change is also imperative with demonstrated improvement in service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Underpinning this significant change agenda, a parcel of transitional funding has been committed to support the structural adjustment and transformation.
