The position
The Board of BioMelbourne Network seeks to appoint an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation in to its next phase of growth. The CEO will build on the Network’s prominence as a highly influential membership association for organisations across the health industry, encompassing biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceuticals and health innovation companies across the state of Victoria.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for all strategic, operational and administrative aspects of the organisation. Leading a small team, and overseeing a membership of over 210 organisations, the CEO is also accountable for building the association’s reputation and profile, engaging and managing external stakeholders and providing high-level advice to the Board on operations, policy and planning.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional executive with proven experience and credibility in driving operational excellence and leading policy development and policy analysis across contemporary and complex issues. Equipped with experience gained in the Australian healthcare environment, the CEO will demonstrate a track record of positively influencing high level external relationships and will possess well developed financial and change management skills. Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or medicine required. An MBA and/or AICD qualification will be highly regarded.
