The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) is a not for profit ASIC company that competes globally to secure conferences, meetings and incentives which contribute to Victoria’s visitor economy. MCB is an integral part of Visit Victoria, however, with the Victorian Government as a key stakeholder, MCB has a membership base of approximately 200 industry organisations and has it’s own 6 member Board.

Reporting directly to the Board and working closely with Visit Victoria and a significant number of industry partners, the CEO will take a hands-on approach to leading the organisation, building on MCB’s first class reputation as a major marketing agency and representing the MCB and the destination both nationally and internationally.
You will be a proven senior executive who is commercially savvy and highly experienced in managing business plans and working with boards. As a strategic, assertive decision maker you will have sound sales and marketing and superior stakeholder management skills. You will be a dynamic high energy people leader with significant experience in the strategic development and implementation of business winning activities. Experienced in
managing multi-disciplinary teams in a demanding environment, you will possess well-honed negotiation and influencing skills combined with outstanding professionalism. An understanding of tourism and hospitality and a business events background will be highly regarded.
