The Position
Occupying a key leadership role in the disability sector, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Australian Network on Disability (AND) will lead the next chapter of the organisation’s critical work, following the inspiring legacy of founding Chief Executive Officer Ms Suzanne Colbert AM over the last 20 years. AND’s central mission is to work purposefully towards a more disability confident and inclusive workplace in Australia.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be a central voice and key representative across private, public and community sectors to drive positive social impact. The CEO provides leadership of a dedicated team responsible for the development and delivery of innovative services, supports and engagement with members, as well as upholding the good reputation of the organisation across many stakeholders.
You will be considered a thought-leader regarding the inclusion of people with disability in community and business. The successful candidate will be a contemporary executive with a track record of successful leadership and relationship management. With excellent knowledge of sector issues and strong networks, you will be astute in navigating stakeholders. Equipped with energy to positively impact the community, you will have superior negotiation skills, highly developed advocacy capability and exceptional communication. The Organisation
The Australian Network on Disability (AND) is a not-for-profit organisation that has supported private, public-sector, and not-for-profit members to advance the inclusion of people with disability in business. AND has more than 300 significant employer groups as its members. AND works closely with members to adopt programs and undertake workplace changes that welcome people with disability as employees, customers, and suppliers.
AND’s vision is to create a disability confident Australia through the provision of expert advice and services on disability to employers, government, and industry bodies. AND’s services build understanding of people with disability, connect members, university students and jobseekers with disability for internships and mentoring and support members to check their progress.
