The Position
The Chair and Board of Life Saving Victoria (LSV) are seeking a visionary, inspiring leader to guide the organisation into its next phase of sustainable operation and growth, following a most impressive period of stability, growth and efficient high quality service delivery.
Reporting to the LSV Board, and operating in accordance with the framework of Emergency Management Victoria, the CEO will lead the team to continue optimising resources, responding to community needs, maintaining quality standards, and minimising risks inherent to the operation.

As the successful candidate, you will be an exceptional CEO or senior executive, with proven experience in driving operational excellence across a multi-disciplinary geographically diverse organisation. With a focus on health and safety, you will offer strategic leadership and have significantly influenced sustainable growth and service quality in a large, complex-structured organisation, balancing commerciality with integrity and stakeholder sensitivity. You will be a passionate advocate of safety, and adept at managing competing priorities with partners such as government, clubs, the aquatic industry and other state and international affiliates. Aligned with the values and purpose of LSV, you will strive to continue the journey in shaping a positive culture that inspires staff, volunteers and industry partners to deliver exceptional services and outcomes for the community. The Organisation
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) was formed in 2002 through the merger of Surf Life Saving Victoria and the Royal Life Saving Society Australia Victoria Branch. This formation of Life Saving Victoria created a single peak agency in the State for water safety that is recognised by the Victorian Government.
LSV has forged new lifesaving and water safety initiatives while respecting the proud traditions and programs of the Royal Life Saving and Surf Life Saving National organisations.
