The Position
Your Community Health seeks to appoint a future oriented and entrepreneurial CEO to support the development of the next pivotal Strategic Plan 2021 – 2024. The role will lead the delivery of best-practice, high quality integrated health services that strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities across the growing areas of northern metropolitan Melbourne.
Reporting to a highly engaged Board, the CEO will lead a dedicated and highly skilled team to deliver a comprehensive and expanding range of services in line with strategic objectives. Engaging collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the CEO will identify and leverage opportunities with a focus on providing outstanding client-centred care and services. The CEO will also provide vision and leadership in support of a diverse and inclusive culture where employees are highly engaged.
Equipped with a strong understanding of governance and executive leadership, the CEO will be strategic, analytical and able to demonstrate a track record in driving innovation and service delivery outcomes, ideally in a not-for-profit environment. The successful candidate will also have well developed political acumen with the ability to build productive relationships and influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders. Experience in community health is advantageous, however not essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications required.
The Organisation
Your Community Health is a quality accredited independent community health service with its own Board of Directors. It provides a wide range of allied health, medical, social support and health promotion services through 230 staff and operates across seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) of northern Melbourne: predominantly in Darebin but also in Banyule, Moreland, Yarra, Hume, Nillumbik and Whittlesea, often in partnership with other services
The Board is committed to growing the organisation to underwrite its long-term sustainability and continue serving the community through expanding service options and in collaboration with primary and acute health services, key local organisations, government departments, partner organisations and peak bodies.
