The Position
Rural Northwest Health seeks to appoint an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through the operationalisation and implementation of the five-year strategic plan.  This is a key community position and requires an individual who is committed to closing the health equity gap for rural locations.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for providing a best-practice health service that is cost-effective and responsive to government policy direction and community needs.  Engaging collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the CEO will identify and leverage opportunities with a focus on providing high quality, safe, client-centred care and services.  The CEO will be visible and proactive and will drive a culture where employees are highly engaged and committed to an ongoing process of improvement.
Equipped with senior leadership experience gained in a healthcare setting, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement with strategic, analytical and commercial skills in management and service delivery.  An excellent understanding of the current issues affecting public health will be coupled with the acumen to work in a community focused environment.  The appointee will demonstrate a sound understanding of clinical governance, display high levels of financial accountability, and thrive in an environment of change. Previous experience in a regional setting will be highly regarded. There is a preference for the CEO to reside in the area and accommodation in Warracknabeal is provided.

Rural Northwest Health is a public health service located in the Wimmera Mallee region of Victoria and it plays a central role in the fabric of the communities of the region. It provides responsive quality healthcare and community services by empowering a vibrant, committed team that has achieved widespread recognition for innovation in aged care and community engagement.
With 290 team members across the campuses of Warracknabeal, Beulah and Hopetoun, RNH has a total of 90 residential aged care beds, including 15 in the award-winning memory support unit, and 16 acute beds.  All three centres have a broad range of community health services that support keeping the community well at home.
