Following 12 years of exemplary leadership, the current Jewish Care Victoria CEO is working with the Board to ensure a seamless transition of executive leadership. The Board seeks to appoint a highly capable, energetic, empathic, and inspiring leader to this critically important and richly diverse community service organisation. With a proud 172-year history of supporting the needs of an ever-changing Victorian Jewish community, the organisation is well positioned to harness the opportunities being created through significant policy reform across the human service sectors, to reshape its offerings in aged care, disability, and individual and family services. The newly appointed CEO will lead the organisation’s next phase of growth reflecting their commitment to the client experience and operational excellence.
Reporting to a dedicated and highly skilled Board, the CEO will lead a committed team to manage and build on the organisation’s capability and capacity to deliver outstanding, person centred, responsive and innovative services, aligned with the organisations values, ethos and commitments. A key aspect of the role will be to promote, advocate, position and collaborate with key stakeholders in the community, in government and the broader NFP sector.
The successful candidate may have a background in human services or the broader health sector with a record of leading a multidisciplinary workforce and growing complex services. As a contemporary leader who is inspiring and visionary. they will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the proven ability to engage collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to foster a reputation of inclusiveness, quality and trust. The appointee will be strategic, will have strong commercial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Over 950 Jewish Care Victoria employees and 350 volunteers enrich the lives of over 6,000 people each year, by providing vital supports and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, unemployment, emotional and financial difficulties, mental health conditions, and people living with a disability. The organisation also provides professional and culturally sensitive person-centred community and residential aged care that empowers seniors to remain healthy, independent, and connected to the community.
