The Position
The Board of Grampians Health seeks to appoint a highly talented and collaborative senior executive to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Leading this newly amalgamated health service, which extends across a large and vibrant part of Victoria, the CEO will ensure delivery of safer, connected and people-centred health care, that is closer to home.
The CEO will report to the Board and will be responsible for activating the new health service by developing service and workforce plans that address the unique needs of each community and will drive alignment of policies and procedures, appropriately engaging staff, patients and the community. The CEO will also lead Victoria’s largest public aged care service, oversee the redevelopment and expansion of the Ballarat Base Hospital and also drive the development and finalisation of the new strategic and clinical services plans.
Equipped with senior executive level experience within the health service industry, the successful candidate will demonstrate a record of having effectively partnered with communities and leveraging a positive organisational culture to improve patient experience, clinical quality and patient safety, while also ensuring financial sustainability.  Through exemplary strategic and operational leadership, the appointee will evidence successful implementation of change in a complex and dynamic environment. Experience, and a genuine affinity for, working in regional service delivery is essential. A tertiary qualification in commerce, management, health administration or relevant health discipline is essential and a post graduate qualification in business administration or other relevant area is desirable.
The Organisation
Grampians Health has been created by the bringing together of four health services under a single entity dedicated to providing high quality and accessible health care services in each of the communities served by Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital (EDMH), Stawell Regional Health (SRH), Wimmera Health Care Group (WHCG) and Ballarat Health Services (BHS). Grampians Health has an annual operating revenue of over $700m.
