The Position

The Board of Directors at Mind Australia seek to appoint an outstanding leader to the position of Chief Executive Officer following the incumbent, Dr Gerry Naughtin’s, nine years of distinguished and exemplary service to the organisation.

The CEO will lead a dynamic team to guide the organisation to adapt and respond to the changing landscape in mental health service provision whilst delivering on the strategic plan. Key CEO priorities include; embracing the mission and values of the organisation, driving consumer focussed solutions, maintaining a strong public profile, adapting organisational skills and resources (including IT and digital) to the changing environment and further strengthening relationships with government, health, community and corporate agencies.

With a record of achievement in a complex services based organisation, the appointee will have proven ability in leading or shaping a consumer orientated organisation, guiding culture change, strategic planning, advocacy and driving innovation. Equipped with highly developed emotional, conceptual, analytical and presentation skills, the CEO will be highly skilled in dealing with complex and sensitive matters. Commercial and financial management experience are essential along with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage in high-level public policy debates.
