The Organisation

Healthy North Coast (HNC) through the North Coast PHN program (NCPHN) works with primary health care and the broader health sector to build a person-centred health system in which each member of the North Coast community, especially those with the greatest need, receives care that is integrated, high quality and easy to access.

Our commitment to closing the gap and reducing health inequity for Aboriginal people and communities is paramount to each of our objectives and outcomes.

HNC commissions health services that are specifically designed to address local gaps identified through our regular needs assessments. Through our strong commissioning process, we partner with local organisations to ensure that North Coast communities have quality care when and where they need it.

Our current portfolio of commissioned services address key priority areas including Aboriginal health, Healthy Aging, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Population Health, Digital Health and Health Workforce. Community and Clinician consultation directly informs our commissioning work.

NCPHNs catchment area stretches from Port Macquarie to the Tweed River and covers a population of over 500,000.
