The Loreto Ministries Board seeks to appoint a strategic and collaborative Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation within the independent catholic education network. The CEO will work in partnership with Loreto schools to achieve high quality educational outcomes and embed a strong understanding of the Loreto charism with a focus on the education of young women.
The CEO will lead Loreto Ministries through a period of significant organisational and cultural change as it transitions to a new governance model under a Ministerial Public Juridic Person (MPJP). This change will be implemented in partnership with the Loreto Ministries Board, the Loreto Province of Australia & South East Asia, the Australian Loreto schools and the broader Loreto network. This integral role is responsible for leading the organisation throughout this restructure, developing and nurturing relationships, and guiding the school boards and communities. Additionally, the CEO is accountable for the overall governance framework for the Loreto schools in Australia, including master planning, capital allocation, network optimisation and child safety programs.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will manage the organisation while ensuring the mission remains a central focus and strategic priorities are achieved to meet education outcomes, compliance with governance, and sustainability practices. The CEO will provide high-level executive, project and administrative support to the Board and guide a small team. The CEO will present as a strategic, innovative and collaborative leader and be expected to possess exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills that enable engagement in critical change and delivery of desired outcomes. Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to manage master planning and budgeting are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate an executive gravitas, the ability to bring others on the journey and the capacity to deliver outcomes through effective leadership and mutual respect. Some interstate and international travel will be required
Established in 2015 by the Australia and South East Asia Province of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM), Loreto Ministries is a not-for-profit public company responsible for the governance of seven Loreto Catholic schools in Australia and two associated schools.
Loreto Ministries aims to build upon the mission of the Loreto Province of Australia and South East Asia and ensure ongoing sustainability across two key areas of practice, overseeing education and developing operations.
