Chief Executive Officer – Family Violence Prevention Agency
Drive and support substantive reform in the primary prevention of family violence
Respect Victoria is a new government organisation dedicated to the primary prevention of family violence and all forms of violence against women. It is consistent with Victorian Government policy commitments outlined in the Royal Commission into Family Violence.
Respect Victoria will ensure systemic family violence prevention efforts are accelerated and embedded across the Victorian Government and communities through a comprehensive commitment of investment over the longer term.
The primary roles of the Agency are to:
- Provide prevention design, implementation and monitoring advice, and guide investment, policy development and best practice knowledge sharing; and
- Generate and share knowledge to support best practice and address cultural and structural drivers of family violence across the Victorian community.
The newly established Agency seeks to appoint an experienced Chair, up to eight Board Directors, as well as a talented and dynamic leader as its Chief Executive Officer.
Establishment of Respect Victoria is subject to legislation being enacted in the Victorian Parliament. Appointment of candidates to these executive roles is pending the establishment of the Agency.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the agency to drive and support its successful establishment through partnership with a range of agencies and service providers. You will possess visionary leadership, excellent stakeholder management skills and organisational management capability, coupled with a drive to support community change.
