The Position
The dynamic and evolving community services provider, Jewish Care, seeks to appoint a talented, driven and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer to play a key role in driving corporate strategy and operations. This comes at a time when the organisation continues to transition into a more agile, flexible and responsive entity, one that is in a strong position to address the rapidly changing landscape of service delivery.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and interfacing at Board level, the Chief Financial Officer will take stewardship of Jewish Care’s financials and assets, having accountability for all financial reporting, compliance, risk and governance, as well as financial operations and systems and the management of a substantial budget. Keeping an eye on an array of future initiatives and managing a team of around 25, the Chief Financial Officer will also oversee procurement, IT and a considerable real estate portfolio.
Possessing strong commercial acumen and equipped with proven financial leadership experience, the successful candidate will have highly developed strategic and analytical skills and a well-developed understanding of risk identification, assessment and mitigation. The appointee will display a whole of business and performance mindset coupled with a highly influential and engaging manner.
Tertiary qualified with CA/CPA membership, s/he may have prior experience in the private, NFP, government, education or public health sectors, ideally with experience gained in a number of these sectors.
