The Position
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key senior role within the newly established Digital Health Division which brings together the Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Decision Support and the Telehealth teams.  This position is responsible for managing ICT processes and working with stakeholders and vendors while the division supports the communities’ digital journey through research, innovation and partnering with vendors and universities.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Digital Health, the CIO serves as the principle technology leader for the organisation, providing vision and leadership for the implementation of information technology and digital strategies.  The CIO will oversee all activities in the ICT roadmap, operations of information systems and service, knowledge and project management for applications while also leading the development and implementation of future technology and Digital strategy.  This position will work collaboratively to lead and drive positive change and manage the development of strategies and multiple projects within tight deadlines.
As an enthusiastic and committed leader, the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the health industry including government legislation, regulations, and policies.  The new CIO will have demonstrated experience managing ICT budgets and operational reconciliation and have strategically partnered with vendors and third parties.  The ability to build high performing teams is key to success as is experience in driving positive change in line with strategic goals.
The Organisation
