The Position

Brimbank City Council is seeking a Chief Information Office (CIO) to serve as principle technology leader, providing vision and oversight for developing and implementing information technology, information management and digital strategies.

Reporting to the Organisational Strategy and Change Executive Manager, the CIO oversees the ICT Strategy and Roadmap with a focus on continuous improvement and user satisfaction and increasing ICT’s value through innovation and emerging technologies. The role is responsible for aligning ICT objectives and programs with Council’s Organisational Strategy and Council Plan priorities and engaging leadership and business process managers in ICT governance.

The CIO motivates and empowers a team of ICT and Information  Management Specialists to support excellence in service delivery and use technology as an enabler to deliver efficient and effective services to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader who brings a strategic mindset and strong customer-centric thinking. This person will influence demand for new and innovative technology solutions that enhance business outcomes, while translating strategy into clear actions.
