Chief Network Operations

The Position

Reporting to the Head of Transport Services, the Chief Network Operations is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and integrated delivery of transport services across roads, trains, trams, buses and active transport.

Key to the role is driving operational excellence in areas including Traffic Signal Real Time Operations and Design, Managed Motorway Control, Incident Response Services and public transport network coordination. This role will also lead Emergency Management readiness and response, implement transport network changes and drive network performance analysis.

This is a senior executive role within the transport services team that will initiate, lead and drive a renewed focus on business processes and process improvement.

The successful candidate will currently be operating in a similar role within a large and complex transport, logistics, infrastructure, freight, shipping or airline environment. They will have prior experience in coordinating resources within real time environments, minimising disruption on a day to day basis, whilst maximising the customer experience. In addition, they will have the ability to successfully navigate a complex and ever-changing environment, Agile in nature, they will also thrive in acting as a spokesperson in the media / public domain.
