The Position
Reporting to the CEO and a key member of the Executive team the COO will lead a team of around 50 focused and motivated individuals through 2 direct reports in the Operations Domain.
The role of the Operations Unit is to work with stakeholders to implement system re-design that strengthens the quality, sustainability, effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery in the primary health care sector.
The ideal candidate will be a contemporary leader with demonstrated high levels of emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to form effective and collaborative relationships. With established executive experience in strategic and operational leadership and a strong working knowledge of the health care system in a regional context, you will have an understanding of data-led system redesign that strengthens the sustainability of service delivery and workforce development in the primary health care sector.
Relevant tertiary and/or post graduate qualifications combined with 10 years’ experience are required pre-requisites for this Executive position.
This role can be based out of any of Murray PHN’s Regional Offices in Bendigo, Shepparton, Albury or Mildura.
The Organisation
Murray PHN is part of the national network of 31 Primary Health Networks across Australia. PHNs are not-for-profit organisations funded predominantly by the Australian Government to address identified national objectives and local priority areas, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, aged care, alcohol and drugs, child health, chronic disease, digital health, general practice, health workforce, mental health and population health.
The core purpose is to strengthen primary health care and keep people well and out of hospital.
