The Position
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation is seeking to appoint an experienced and contemporary leader to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. In this key role, you will lead a dynamic team to work across the organisation to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of organisational outcomes and setting the organisation up for supporting strategic growth.
Reporting to the CEO, the position will lead crucial business enablement functions across Finance, People and Culture, ICT, Learning & Development, Change Management, Governance and Risk and Business Planning and Performance. The position will assume responsibility for providing leadership and direction to the requisite functions and contributing to the achievement of operational delivery and strategic growth for the organisation. The role will have a strong continuous improvement focus to ensure the delivery of high quality services to key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
With sound commercial acumen, you will have proven experience in working across diverse functions coupled with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Skilled in implementing strategy, you will display a hands-on approach and the natural ability to form relationships and lead a diverse team. Exhibiting superior interpersonal skills, you will be capable of enhancing a positive organisational culture and have a strong alignment to the organisation’s values. A relevant tertiary qualification is essential. CPA/CA or other postgraduate qualifications in HR, psychology or a related discipline would be an advantage.
