At a time of growth, VETASSESS (incorporating eWorks) seeks an outstanding Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strong financial direction, oversight and business analysis, while monitoring and reporting on operational performance.  The COO will lead and advise on corporate governance and operations.
Reporting to the Executive Director and leading a team of 15, this important role is responsible for finance, reporting, legal, risk and compliance, procurement, customer experience and operations initiatives of VETASSESS to deliver against the strategic plan.  In supporting the strategic plan across all areas of the business, the COO will assess new business proposals and tenders from a commercial perspective, preparing pricing models as required.  The role will also be responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s facilities management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in providing strong financial direction, oversight and commercial business analysis.  With a relevant degree and post graduate qualification in business, commerce or accounting, preferably CPA/CA qualified, the ideal candidate will bring extensive management experience in finance, operations and facilities.  Company secretary experience is also advantageous.  A background in vocational education and training is not required, however an alignment with the organisation’s goals and ability to gain an understanding of relevant compliance will be important.
