Fed Square is the organisation responsible for the coordination and management of its tenancies (the restaurants, cafes, cultural institutions, programming and marketing of the public spaces and all aspects of asset management and development.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO provides strategic leadership and co-ordination across a range of operational functions including retail & tenancy management, asset & built form management (including master planning for the precinct), financial and IT management and human resources. The position is supported by a team of five direct reports and interacts regularly with government and the board.
The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative team leader who is strategic and commercially astute, with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes in long-term interests of the organisation. Key to success is bringing superior communications skills, superior stakeholder management skills, and a partnership mindset, as well as the ability to work effectively across the breadth of the role’s portfolios.
Experience in a demanding high-profile public and/or private organisation that has involved financial, asset, contract and lease management is expected. Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, OH&S, facilities management will be highly regarded.
