The Position
Following a period of substantial transformation and growth, DPVH finds itself poised for further expansion, and has created a new senior executive position to support this next phase of development. Building on success achieved to date, the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer will take the delivery of person-centred care to the next level, ensuring services meet current and future community needs, are excellent quality, culturally appropriate, competitive, innovative and sustainable.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the strategic delivery, operational oversight, and legislative compliance of the organisation’s four key service directorates: Primary Care; Mental Health, Family Violence and Community; Children, Youth, Disability & Social Support; and Dental Services. Leading a client centric culture, developing innovative service models and overseeing the successful delivery of transformative projects will be key priorities. The Chief Operations Officer will also support the CEO in representing DPVH to external stakeholders and partners, increasing the strategic capacity of the organisation while contributing to service growth.
Equipped with executive leadership experience in a health and/or community services environment, the successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with strong intellectual capacity and well developed commercial acumen. They will be accomplished in building productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including working with Boards, and demonstrate an extensive knowledge of Federal and State funding, legislation and corporate and clinical governance requirements. The appointee will evidence a track record of exceptional achievements whilst building high performing teams that commit to excellence. Critical to your success has been your outstanding leadership and ability to consistently achieve results by planning and prioritising work to meet organisational goals.
