The Position
Austin Health seeks to appoint a senior executive to the position of Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) to lead the delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational people and culture solutions aligned to the vision and culture of Austin Health.  Key to achieving these outcomes will be the development of frameworks, policies and initiatives that will drive organisational capability and performance.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position will be a key member of the Austin Health Executive Team.  The CPCO will lead this highly regarded People & Culture team to ensure the consistent application of P&C tools and frameworks are embedded across the organisation.  The CPCO will lead a focus on developing capability in leadership, supporting workplace culture, industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management and change.  Other key areas of emphasis will include safety and wellness, with a focus on occupational violence and manual handling, and delivery of gender equity, diversity and inclusion policies, programs and initiatives in line with the new Gender Equality Act.  Effective and efficient delivery of core P&C data and insights to the Austin Health management team will be critical to inform current and future decision making and strategic direction.
The successful appointee will exhibit strong experience at the executive level, displaying a strong desire to contribute to the development of the future state and foster a positive organisational culture.  The appointee will bring prior experience providing leadership in complex and challenging environments combined with demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes.  With a flexible approach to developing solutions, the appointee will possess strong IR experience and the high calibre written skills necessary for governance requirements.  Some exposure to engaging with and presenting to a Board will be highly regarded.
