RMIT University has established a reputation for excellence in business and management education and research, providing industry responsive programs that are relevant to both students and the future needs of employers.  The University seeks to appoint an outstanding leader to the position of Dean, School of Management in the College of Business.
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President, College of Business, the Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership, direction and management to the School, ensuring the provision of a quality learning and research environment.  Working collaboratively within the College, across the University globally and with external stakeholders, the Dean will contribute to the strategic direction setting of the College as a member of the College of Business Executive Team.
With outstanding communication skills and the ability to engage widely to foster relationships and networks, the successful candidate will be a proactive and forward-thinking leader with a focus on high quality teaching and research outcomes.  Strategically-minded, the Dean will demonstrate an ability to set a vision and business plan for the School.  With a PhD in a relevant discipline and academic leadership experience, including a strong academic track record in research, a commitment to building capability and contributing to the development of the College and its strategic planning will be essential.
