Planning Panels Victoria (PPV) plays a critical role in providing independent advice to the Minister for Planning and local Councils and authorities in providing an independent forum for submissions to be heard in an informal, non-judicial manner.
 
The position
Reporting to the Chief Panel Member, the Deputy Chief Panel Member will contribute to the leadership and operational management of PPV, leading a small team with oversight of the PPV Business Team and the Heritage Council Secretariat.  As a key member of PPV, the Deputy Chief Panel Member will Chair and prepare reports on high profile matters of State and regional significance. The Deputy Chief Panel Member will act and deputise for the Chief Panel Member as required.
To be successful in this position, you will have extensive experience in stakeholder and conflict management with a demonstrated track record in leading and developing high-performing teams in complex government environments.  Your writing skills will be exemplary.  Tertiary qualified in planning or relevant fields including planning, law or environment, you possess exemplary technical skills and high-level knowledge of planning and environment concepts and principles.
