The Position
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking to appoint an innovative and inspiring leader to the position of Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School as the incumbent, Mr Nick Evans, has been appointed to the position of Principal for Wesley College in Semester 2, 2019.
With knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and student pastoral care, the Deputy Headmaster will create a safe, stimulating and challenging learning environment, whilst fostering the School’s philosophy and values. Reporting to the Headmaster, the Deputy Headmaster also ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Senior School’s programmes, whilst providing leadership on operational day to day matters throughout the School.
As a highly experienced educator, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build strong professional relationships, coupled with the ability to motivate staff and positively influence student learning outcomes.  With a commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement, the appointee will display high energy and a practical approach with high level organisational, planning, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
