The Position
St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School seeks to appoint a Deputy Principal who demonstrates extensive experience in a coeducational setting with an understanding of the complexities associated with running the day-to-day operations of a school of approximately 1700 students and over 270 staff. They will be required to engage fully with the staff and community to lead the day to day running of the school.
Reporting to the Principal, the Deputy Principal will build and develop a strong rapport with the school leadership team. This will require a focus on coaching to ensure the school continues to fulfill its aspirations as the leading coeducational school in Gippsland. Ongoing development of staff through professional learning programmes and strong recruitment is important for the school to maintain its reputation as an employer of choice and create a sustainable future.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, innovative and a strong educational leader who can consider the future of education delivery whilst staying connected with contemporary practices to drive a culture of excellence. The appointee will demonstrate a strong ability to build relationships, have experience managing the dynamic nature of a school environment of this size, and be measured and calm in their approach. They will demonstrate a clear sense of direction and purpose with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
The Organisation
St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School is a multi-campus independent Anglican co-educational early learning, primary, and secondary day school, with campuses located in Warragul and Traralgon, Victoria, Australia. The school is planning to open a new campus in Drouin in January 2025.
