The Position
Reporting to the Principal, and a member of the Senior Leadership team, the Deputy Principal / Head of Senior School will play a vital role in leading and delivering initiatives aligned with achieving the school’s strategic vision.  This position will also include the role of Head of Senior School, responsible for the overall leadership of the Senior School with specific responsibility for the day-to-day experience, pastoral care, discipline, and wellbeing of all students from Years 7-12.  You’ll be joining a community of educators who are intentional, relational, and united in their shared vision for the empowerment of girls and your working environment will be one where your professional judgement is trusted and affirmed.
The Deputy Principal / Head of Senior School will operate from a whole of school perspective, charged with establishing relationships from ELC 3 to Year 12 whilst nurturing a calm, high performing environment in the Senior School.  With a key role in contributing to school wide strategic planning, the position will manage and support regular review and evaluation of the School’s performance and outcomes.
The ideal candidate will ideally possess a strong understanding of the independent school sector and demonstrate experience gained in a complex and sophisticated environment, particularly in a Senior School setting.  With first rate verbal and written communication skills, the appointee will bring their experience to our school.  A strong pastoral care focus will be essential, with the Deputy Principal/ Head of Senior School responsible for leading the Heads of Year.  The ideal candidate will possess an affinity and genuine interest in working in an environment that nurtures the development and growth of girls, coupled with a strong alignment with the School’s strategy, values and vision.
