The Position
Lauriston Girls’ School is seeking a new Deputy Principal Wellbeing/Head of Senior School to design, implement and coordinate the School’s various personal development and wellbeing programs to the highest level across Years 7 to 12.
Reporting to, and deputising for, the Principal the Deputy Principal Wellbeing will be responsible for providing leadership in both the strategic and operational day to day matters of the senior school. Championing the career development of staff in collaboration with the Executive and managing parent enquiries regarding educational or pastoral matters, will be key elements of the role, With knowledge of contemporary, data driven wellbeing policies, programs and practices, the Deputy Head will create a safe, nurturing environment whilst promoting the philosophy and ethos of the School.
As a highly experienced educator, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders, coupled with the ability to motivate staff and influence student learning outcomes. With a commitment to the themes of promoting women leaders within a social justice model that creates awareness of the value of giving and an understanding of how to support others, the appointee will display high levels of emotional intelligence, organisational planning, analytical acumen and strategic thinking.
