The Position
The Deputy Secretary provides leadership across finance, planning, information services, digital and customer and communications, legal and people and culture functions. The Corporate Services Group develops and executes State-wide optimal models of service delivery along with strong governance, and risk management. Key to success is implementing a One-DELWP approach that is efficient and integrated.
The role reports to the Secretary and is a member of the executive leadership team. You will be an inspirational leader who provides a compelling vision, strategic clarity and effective planning and implementation. Your experience will include leading large teams and managing significant budgets. An extensive understanding of government policy and operations is expected.
Your leadership style is values driven, encompassing, customer focused and resilient. As a key strategic adviser in the department, you will bring conceptual and analytical capability to a complex and diverse operating environment. and bring people along the journey.
The Organisation
DELWP brings together Victoria’s climate change, energy, environment, water, forests, planning, local government and emergency management functions into a single department to maximise connections between the environment, community, industry and economy.
