The Position
The Deputy Secretary Corporate and Strategy is part of the Department’s Executive team and assists the Secretary in supporting and advising the Department’s Ministers and strengthening leadership and governance. As one of three Deputy Secretaries, this role will provide leadership across corporate and strategic functions that include Information, Communication and Technology, Finance and Procurement, Human Resources, Major Infrastructure and Business Projects, and the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Service. It will drive the delivery of the Department’s major capital program including new prison infrastructure across the State and the courts and corrections technology replacement program.
Reporting to the Secretary, this newly created position will play an active role in whole of government policy development and program management, as well as represent the Department on a range of high-level Boards, Steering Committees and other bodies. It will also afford the incumbent an opportunity to deputise for the Secretary.
Managing positive outcomes for people, processes and projects, you will offer strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills at a senior executive level and demonstrate effective influencing and negotiating skills. This is a Senior Executive position, either full time or part time, for up to five years with an annual salary range of between $183,284 – $201,613 per annum pro-rata, plus 9.5% superannuation and provision of a fully maintained vehicle. Reasonable relocation expenses incurred in taking up the position will be reimbursed.
