The Position
The position of Deputy Vice Chancellor and Head of Campus Singapore (DVC) provides the opportunity for a highly experienced tertiary education professional to assume the overall leadership and management of James Cook University Singapore (JCUS). The scope of the role will encompass financial performance, academic standards, corporate strategy, community engagement, planning, budgeting, business development, marketing, student-client management and human resources management.
Reporting to a Board of Directors, the DVC will oversee the provision of world-class education and research, formulate and implement strategic plans, policies, and programs to achieve revenue, profitability and objectives, and to ensure that overall performance meets the established key performance outcomes.
The DVC will guide the development and execution of the organisation’s operating philosophy, policies, and procedures and is expected to attract and retain high calibre staff and work to ensure strong relationships with the Committee for Private Education, the Ministry of Education, industry bodies, the corporate sector and the Australian High Commission. The DVC will also collaborate and work with staff at all levels of JCU to ensure that the brand is well recognised, valued and respected and JCU Singapore is seen as an integral part of that branding. The DVC will also contribute to the overall leadership and management of James Cook University as a member of University Executive and Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Committee.
