The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) holds overall responsibility for leading our research strategy to enable Swinburne to achieve its 2025 vision.  The DVC (R&E) will capitalise on significant investment in research infrastructure and build interdisciplinary research across institutes in Data Science, Health Innovation, Smart Cities, Social Innovation and Manufacturing Futures.  The role incorporates leadership of the Advancement portfolio, enabling philanthropic opportunities aligned with our research strategy.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and as a key member of the Executive Team, you will be an accomplished academic or research leader with strong industry and government connections and an impressive research track record.
Your proven success in establishing productive and meaningful engagement with industry will be critical, as will your interest in Industry 4.0 and design thinking.  With highly

This is a tremendous opportunity to build on Swinburne’s success and to provide ongoing, innovative leadership in research.  We value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the University’s overall success.
