As a key organisational leader, join your executive peers to drive transformation, including a high-performance culture of service excellence. Set up the organisation for long term sustainability in service delivery and help shape great organisational culture. Within your large portfolio, lead engaged, optimistic staff across diverse services and facilities to deliver effective and efficient services in line with community priorities.
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead delivery of a wide range of council services that meet community expectations and deliver value for money. With five direct reports you will show strategic and operational oversight of the areas of Community Development, Home & Community Services, Health & Family Services, Arts & Cultural Services and Leisure & Recreation Services. The position also leads the Council’s Vision and Planning process and development of the community engagement framework.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in the operational management of a multi-faceted Community Services function, with demonstrated experience at senior management level in a mid-large size organisation. Local Government experience would be an advantage.
Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Business, Management, Strategic Planning or a relevant discipline are expected.
