The Position
William Angliss Institute (WAI) is seeking a professionally qualified individual for the position of Director Corporate. This position will have responsibility for leading and directing the Institute’s corporate services function as well as developing strategies to maximise the provision and use of funding and resources in accordance with WAI’s strategic plan and government policy requirements.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Corporate will have management responsibilities for finance, student administration, information technology, property and procurement services, educational and corporate compliance and planning and reporting. The Director Corporate will also provide high level strategic and financial advice to the Board, the Board’s Finance Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Executive Committee, to support and contribute to the Institute meeting its goals and objectives within the Institute’s strategic planning framework.
To be suitable for this role you will need to display substantial experience at a senior level across corporate services within an educational environment or large complex organisation. The Director Corporate will have proven ability to network, negotiate and communicate with a variety of stakeholders and have a track record of working with board and management level executives. With strong leadership and high level conceptual and analytical skills, the Director Corporate will have demonstrated experience in short and long-term financial and strategic planning.
