The Position
Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is seeking to appoint a highly collaborative and progressive Director eWorks to develop and lead eWorks to be the first choice for Victorian TAFE Education Technology delivery.
Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, the Director eWorks (DEW) will be responsible for positioning eWorks as the premier provider of content development for online delivery and ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of cutting-edge eLearning technologies and online delivery platforms. With P&L and strategic planning accountability and responsibility for the leadership, the DEW will ensure that eWorks continues to adopt new online and mobile learning channels, maintain customer satisfaction and continually grow the customer base, implement ASQA-compliant quality processes, and foster a positive, progressive, ethical, continuously improving, safe and inclusive organisational culture for all employees.
Possessing a capacity to champion a national vision for learning innovation and the application of digital technology in the vocational education sector, the new DEW will be a progressive and growth-orientated leader who brings a global perspective and a capacity to challenge the status-quo. With a resilient, agile and energetic outlook, the DEW will ensure that eWorks continues to be one of Australia’s leading eLearning delivery and consultancy specialists.
The Organisation
Bendigo Kangan Institute was established in 2014 by the merger of two TAFE institutes – Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute – and two related service providers – VETASSESS and eWorks. The organisation is one of Victoria’s most prominent vocational training providers.
In 2016, Bendigo Kangan Institute provided training to over 32,000 students in health and community services, environment and primary industries, hair and beauty, creative industries, trades, automotive, professional industries and foundation studies. Through VETASSESS, BKI also provided almost 30,000 skills assessments, while eWorks supported over 87 e-learning customers and hosted digital content used by over 115,000 users.
