The Position
With the responsibility for ensuring current and future financial sustainability outcomes for Victoria Police, this role involves identifying financial and organisational strategic opportunities facilitated through key internal and external partnerships. Effective public sector interaction is key to success in this position.
The role reports to the Executive Director, Investment Management and Reporting and will be required to influence Victoria Police Command (Senior Leadership Team) and initiative reform activities across the organisation. Â The Director leads a team that will develop and offer the organisation insight and opportunities. The successful candidate will also need to consult and collaborate with key government departments and negotiate outcomes that benefit Victoria Police.
This position requires values-based leadership and superior strategic capability along with commercial acumen, innovation and adaptability. A deep understanding of government frameworks and processes is necessary with proven written and verbal communication skills. A sound background in financial modelling, budget management, business performance analytics and governance are essential.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are expected.
