The position
Oxfam Australia is seeking to appoint an energetic professional to the position of Director of Fundraising and Resource Growth. The Director is a key role to build and diversify sustainable revenue streams that enables the organisation to strengthen its critical humanitarian, development programming and advocacy work globally.  With a significant and engaged supporter base, the Director will continue to develop a culture of giving, as well as design and deliver contemporary strategies and initiatives to ensure a sustainable future.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position will be an active contributor to the executive team and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to oversee successful implementation of short- and long-term business development activities. A strategic approach is required, built on rigorous research and analysis, lateral thinking, clear communication and excellent relationships; resulting in major fundraising campaigns being delivered and ongoing income streams identified.
The successful candidate will be an established fundraiser or customer experience/marketing professional and possess a strong capacity to think long term. The appointee may have demonstrated experience working with boards or foundations and will be skilled across customer experience, analytics and strategic planning. Further, the successful candidate will have the style and ability to maintain and build strong relationships at all levels and exceptional written and oral communication skills. Importantly, the appointee will possess the highest professional and ethical standards, coupled with a genuine passion for the work and values of Oxfam Australia. Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in business management or sales and marketing will be highly regarded.
