The Position
PTV seeks to appoint a contemporary and solutions focused Director to lead the Governance and Legal Division supporting the organisation in achieving its business, legal and statutory objectives.
As a key leader in the organisation, the Director will offer clear and pragmatic legal advice whilst leading and implementing strategies to strengthen the overall governance, compliance, risk and probity practices of the organisation. The role also encompasses Board Secretary responsibilities. The role operates in the context of an organisation undergoing transformation as it improves its business systems and processes, culture, governance and organisational capability.
To deliver on this challenge you will be a strategic and critical thinker with significant experience in a large complex organisation. You will have the capacity to assess complex legal matters and exercise sound judgement. You will be a trusted, authoritative adviser who is dynamic and decisive and is visible as a leader. Excellent stakeholder management skills are required, as is the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence, based on trust. You will also be a proven people leader that has a track record of team development. Â Legal qualifications are mandatory with further professional development considered to be highly desirable. Exposure to the public sector governance is beneficial.
