This senior executive role provides authoritative advice and support to governments and decision-makers to influence public policy development, system reform and institutions to bring about societal-level change. The Director acts as a change agent to influence and embed a coordinated national policy approach to prevention.
Reporting to the CEO, the role leads a team of three managers covering Member Support, Evidence Integrity and Evaluation & Impact to deliver evidence-based policy and member policy support.
To enable success and sustainability in this position the successful candidate should have significant experience gained in an influential government related role, bring deep knowledge in government and political processes, policy development and a track record in building relationships and partnerships. Superior communication skills along with high levels of persuasion and influence are required with an affinity to the societal context of prevention and inequality.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent lived experience is sought.
