The Director, Industry Development and Technology is a key executive appointment that leads the design and implementation of strategies and programs and drives engagement with industry stakeholders to develop and grow the sector to ensure the workforce development, investment and innovation meet the objectives of programs administered by Solar Victoria. You will be required to represent government in its engagement with Victoria’s energy industry and stakeholders and to monitor system performance.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Policy, Programs and Industry Development, the role is responsible for leading three direct reports and teams of approximately 20 staff. Accountabilities include promoting and facilitating investment, providing high quality, innovative and strategic advice, building partnerships, and risk management.
To be successful you will have impactful leadership skills and a relevant track record of delivery in business/industry development. You will have superior negotiation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills and sustain a high level of responsiveness and agility.  Government experience whilst well regarded is not mandated. Tertiary qualifications are expected at this level.
