Leading educational delivery to maximise student experience, the Director, Learning Design ensures outstanding educational planning and continuous improvement of training products and design, delivered online, face to face and through work placements.  The Director is a key liaison with the Department of Education to maximise Tasmania’s vocational and training outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant national standards, providing innovative courses to meet student needs.  The role will also engage with schools and university partners, leading pathways and articulation arrangements to facilitate ongoing learning outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive Director Students and Education, and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director will work collaboratively across the organisation to implement consistent and quality educational design across all industry areas, providing expertise in educational design and delivery, maximising online learning opportunities.
With relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in adult education, deep experience in the TAFE/VET sector and significant strengths in learning development, the ideal candidate will be committed to flexible program delivery, with a passion for producing quality products and services to drive outcomes for students and the broader community.  Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will be key to building and nurturing relationships with a range of stakeholders, including government, schools and universities.  A track record in compliance and course accreditation is also essential.
