The Position

As a key leader within the Industry Development and Participation Branch, the Director provides a key interface with industry stakeholders and other government agencies to drive collaboration, innovation and positive industry development outcomes for Victoria’s manufacturing sector.  As an experienced leader who has government, high level stakeholder engagement or related organisational industry experience, you will oversee a team to establish, develop, strengthen relationships with stakeholder groups across Victoria’s key manufacturing sectors including advanced manufacturing, food and advanced technologies.

Your executive level management expertise will set your course to understand when and how to collaborate, share knowledge and be a bridge for purposes of engagement and policy development between other parts of the Victorian Government.

Promoting strategic manufacturing in the Victorian economy, you will provide high level advice and information to Ministers, senior executives and industry stakeholders, produce high quality briefings, communications material and industry insights and lead external engagement and stakeholder activities.

You will be comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline driven environment where you can lead your team to pivot its attention on priorities as required.  The successful candidate will bring developed analytical and conceptual skills, including demonstrated ability to develop strategies and frameworks, industry insights, quickly assimilate new concepts and information, and deliver positive and innovative solutions for complex industry issues and opportunities with nuance, flair and accuracy.

This CBD based leadership position sits within the Industry Development and Participation Branch. The branch works collaboratively across the Victorian Government to deliver on government policy that helps drive sustainable industry and jobs growth to positively impact Victorians’ lives and the economy.
