The Position
Christ Church Grammar School seeks to appoint an experienced, collaborative and strategic individual to the position of Director of Business.  The role of Director of Business is integral to the overall leadership of the School and will oversee the business and property functions in addition to supporting the Board, Principal and Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Business is responsible for the financial leadership of the school in addition to the development of the physical resources and welfare of the people within the business arm of the school.  The scope of management responsibility for the position includes Finance, IT, Uniform Shop and Maintenance and other non-teaching departments as required.  Key areas of focus will include building projects, budget processes including guiding staff, risk management and lease management.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and operational leader with a strong understanding of systems and an ability to hit the ground running.  With demonstrated strong financial, risk and governance experience gained within an independent school or similar environment, the appointee will exhibit sound knowledge of budgets and future planning.  Presenting with a positive outlook and exemplary relationship and team building skills, the successful candidate will display high energy and a hands-on approach.  Outstanding organisational, planning, analytical and strategic thinking abilities will support a pragmatic approach to delivering outcomes.  The appointee will be aligned to the values of Christ Church Grammar School and will take an active interest in the school community, developing strong relationships with staff, students, parents and external stakeholders.  Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential.
