The Position

The Director of Business is a new Senior Executive Management position that reports directly to the Principal and is primarily responsible for the management of the School’s business, administration, ITC and infrastructure services.  The position is also responsible for overseeing the provision of all non-teaching activities and services of the School’s operations, including the employment of all General Staff employees.

The primary responsibilities allocated to the Director of Business include, but are not limited to the management of the School’s finances and financial planning, ICT, risk and compliance, infrastructure development, grounds and maintenance services, contracts and contractors.

The Director of Business is a member of the School Executive, the School Board, Finance Committee and a member of the Campus Development and Major Projects Committee (CDMPC).  The position requires a highly experienced senior leader with a record of success as a senior administrator and financial manager combined with excellent people management and leadership experience.  In addition to guiding the financial management and continued development of the School, the position of Director of Business has been created to actively support a positive, respectful and inclusive organisational culture.

The Organisation

Girton Grammar School is an independent, coeducational school from Prep to Year 12 that strives for excellence in both academic and co-academic areas of education in a caring Christian environment. Founded in 1884 as Girton College, Girton Grammar School opened in 1993 and has built on the rich history of traditions of Girton College that gives the school its distinct character and uniqueness today.
