The Position
Korowa Anglican Girls’ School seeks to appoint a strategic and collaborative leader to the position of Director of Business and Services. The Director is a critical senior leadership position with oversight of business services including finance, property, catering, IT and compliance.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Director will be a part of a thriving and evolving School Executive in addition to holding responsibilities with the School Council. The school is in a strong financial position and has recently completed a new Sports and Wellbeing Centre as part of a busy phase of capital works. The Director will play a vital role in the development and implementation of the new Strategic Plan.
The ideal candidate will be a contemporary leader, demonstrating broad commercial experience and strong financial skills. With experience developing and executing on strategic plans, the Director will possess the ability to be tactical and hands on when necessary. Displaying an innovative and collaborative mindset, the appointee will present a cohesive and consultative approach to achieve financial and environmental sustainability. This is a highly visible position in the school community and the appointee will demonstrate an ability to build trust, rapport and develop working relationships at all levels. The ideal candidate will exhibit an affinity to the school environment however prior experience in an education setting is not essential. Tertiary qualifications with a finance focus are essential.
The Organisation
A leader in girls’ education since 1890, Korowa is renowned for its academic excellence welcoming 3 and 4 year old girls and boys in the Early Learning Centre, and then specialising in an all-girls’ environment from Prep to Year 12.
