The Position

Korowa Anglican Girls’ School seeks to appoint a strategic and collaborative leader to the position of Director of Development and Community Relations.  The Director is a critical senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall leadership and management of areas including enrolments, marketing, community relations, alumni relations and fund raising.

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Director will provide strategic direction and oversight of the Development and Community Relations team with a clear focus on enhancing the profile and contribution of the School. A member of the School Executive, the Director will lead the portfolio with a unified, purpose driven approach, ensuring integrity and consistency across all areas.

Presenting with exceptional communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills, the appointee will display high level expertise in communications and marketing, particularly in the areas of digital and social media, and brand management.  Other key areas of expertise will include events management and community engagement, while an understanding of enrolments and sales will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will be an energetic leader who demonstrates a willingness to be an active member of the school community.  Displaying an innovative and collaborative mindset, the appointee will build trust, rapport and develop long-term working relationships at all levels. The ideal candidate will exhibit an affinity to the school environment, and in particular independent girls’ education, however prior experience in an education setting is not essential.

A leader in girls’ education since 1890, Korowa is renowned for its academic excellence welcoming 3 and 4 year old girls and boys in the Early Learning Centre, and then specialising in an all-girls’ environment from Prep to Year 12.
