The Position
The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) is seeking to appoint an outstanding educationalist to the newly created position of Director of Education. This is a strategic role that will lead the development of an educational framework to support and improve RACMA’s place as the leader in medical leadership education.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the College’s Education and Training Committee, its subcommittees and key stakeholders, the Director Education will be responsible for all aspects of RACMA’s educational offerings including Fellowship Training, Continuing Professional Development programs, programs that lead to admission as an Associate Fellow of RACMA and the annual scientific conference.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing new approaches to curriculum planning, assessment and teaching & learning, including best practice approaches to assessment, quality assurance and evaluation processes, coupled with proven experience in leading change and transformation in education strategy, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation. Equipped with high level analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills, the appointee will have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills and a track record of contributing strategically at a senior level to achieve organisational outcomes. Relevant tertiary qualification to Master or PhD level is desirable as is a background within tertiary education, the medical sector, or a profession-based education provider.
