The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to grow, lead and manage the Northern Health Foundation’s philanthropic function. Encompassing the diverse and rapidly expanding communities within the northern growth corridor and collaborating with an invigorated Board, this presents as an exceptional opportunity to shape the future direction of the Foundation.
With a charter to raise the profile of the Foundation, this role will develop and implement fundraising strategies to attract potential partners and grow philanthropy whilst establishing priorities for raising funds. Reporting to the Executive Director Public Affairs and Foundation and the Foundation Board of Management, the Director is responsible for driving engagement with a range of targeted stakeholders and strengthening key relationships.
The successful candidate will be a strategist with experience in fundraising and profile building across large complex service organisations. The appointee will have a track record of developing and meeting strategic, operational and budgetary objectives, coupled with the proven ability to identify and translate opportunities into successful projects. Presenting with excellent interpersonal, influencing and networking skills, the successful candidate will possess an understanding of the Victorian public health system and relevant tertiary qualifications will be well regarded.

Northern Health provides a diverse range of acute, sub-acute, ambulatory specialist and community health services to the large and diverse population in the regions north of Melbourne.  They are committed to the provision of responsive, localised, appropriate and consistent care.
The Northern Health catchment encompasses the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Moreland.  The northern growth corridor population is projected to grow by 58% between 2016 and 2031.
