The Position
Wesley College seeks to appoint an exceptional and contemporary leader to the position of Director of Learning.    Reporting directly to the Principal, and a member of the College Executive, the Director of Learning will be responsible for building an outstanding culture of learning through the College  by raising student achievement, development and improvement of academic programs and classroom pedagogies whilst improving the quality of teaching and learning across the College.
The incoming Director of Learning will bring a strong strategic sense of teaching and learning to inform the development and implementation of future directions for education and will provide leadership direction and support to the College Teaching and Learning Committee with the aim of fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of contemporary research and best practice pedagogy.  Presenting with outstanding interpersonal skills and a natural ability to engage with and influence at all levels, the appointee will demonstrate an ability to shape strategy around learning in a complex, multi-campus setting.  It is expected the appointee will present as a strong, open-minded leader who is able to think critically and challenge the team to reach exceptional outcomes.  The appointee will demonstrate a track record of success in curriculum and staff leadership at an executive level within a school environment.
